About Nick
I have been privileged to represent South Australia as a Senator in the Commonwealth Parliament since 1993, having been re-elected in 1998 and 2004. During my service to the Senate I have also been fortunate enough to serve Australia as a Cabinet Minister for nine years.
Following the loss of the Howard Government in November 2007 I was appointed as the Shadow Minister for Defence. From September 2008 I served as the Shadow Minister for Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy, and from December 2009 to March 2010 I served as the Shadow Minister for Resources and Energy.
